An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Exploration Geologist to join a successful Australian gold producer with a substantial landholding and active exploration pipeline.
This role offers the chance to lead and deliver exploration programs across highly prospective gold terrains, contributing directly to resource growth, target generation, and new discoveries. Working within a collaborative technical team, you will take ownership of drilling campaigns and exploration initiatives while helping shape the future direction of the company's exploration strategy.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
- Proven experience within gold exploration, ideally in Archean terranes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage drilling programs from planning through to completion.
- Strong geological interpretation and target generation skills.
- Experience using industry-standard geological software such as Leapfrog, Micromine, Datamine, or similar.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights
Position Duties:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute RC and diamond drilling programs.
- Conduct geological logging, sampling, interpretation, and data validation.
- Generate and assess exploration targets using geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets.
- Develop geological models and support resource definition activities.
- Manage exploration contractors and field personnel.
- Monitor budgets, schedules, and exploration performance metrics.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
- Ensure all exploration activities are conducted safely and in accordance with environmental and statutory requirements.
