An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and hands-on Rig Geologist to join a major drilling program in one of Australia's most remote and geologically prospective regions.
This is your chance to be part of a significant exploration campaign targeting a commodity that is attracting renewed global attention. Working within a close-knit exploration team, you'll gain exposure to a large-scale drilling program while experiencing some of the most spectacular and untouched landscapes in the country.
With endless star-filled skies, a genuine outback exploration environment and a strong field focus, this role would suit a geologist who enjoys being close to the drilling, thrives in remote conditions and wants to be part of a project that could deliver something special. The project is located within a highly prospective uranium district in the Northern Territory with extensive RC and diamond drilling planned throughout 2026.
About You
- Degree qualified Geologist
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in exploration geology
- Strong RC drilling experience
- Exposure to diamond drilling programs
- Comfortable working in remote field environments
- Physically fit with a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Available to commence in July
Roster: 15 /13
Start Date: July 2026
Accommodation: Comfortable donga-style camp accommodation
Duration: Initial contract with potential for extension
Position Duties:
- Geological supervision of RC and diamond drilling programs
- Logging and sampling of drill chips and core
- Ensuring QAQC procedures are followed
- Managing drill contractors and daily rig activities
- Daily reporting and database management
- Assisting with geological interpretation and program execution
- Maintaining a strong safety culture in the field
