Mining Employment Services is currently seeking an experienced Core Logger for a 3-month contract with our client, an ASX-listed Western Australian gold producer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Resource Development team, located in the heart of WA’s Eastern Goldfields. Our Client has a large and highly prospective landholding, active underground operations, and an ongoing exploration and resource development focus across the district.
The successful candidate will be involved in geological logging and core processing activities to support active drilling programs and resource growth.
Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline;
• Previous core logging experience, ideally within gold;
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data capture;
• Ability to work well in a site-based team environment;
Position Duties:
- Geological logging of diamond core;
- Mark-up and sampling of drill core;
- Core orientation, recovery and RQD measurements;
- Data entry and validation;
- Assisting with geological interpretation and drill program support;
