MES is seeking an experienced Rig Geologist to join an exciting uranium exploration drilling campaign in WA.

This is an opportunity to work on a highly prospective and technically interesting uranium project located near Onslow within the Yanrey Uranium Province, one of Australia's emerging uranium districts. The project hosts significant uranium resources and is undergoing ongoing exploration and resource growth drilling.

Working within a close-knit exploration team, you will play a key role in supporting a focused drilling campaign while gaining exposure to a niche geological environment that differs from traditional hard-rock gold and iron ore exploration.

Comfortable camp accommodation and a supportive team environment are provided, making this an excellent opportunity for geologists looking to broaden their experience and work on a specialised project.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Bachelor of Science (Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline)
  • Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy and sediment-hosted mineral systems
  • Experience logging aircore 
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality
  • Ability to work independently in a remote field environment
  • Current Australian driver's licence
  • Full Australian working rights

Position Duties:

  • Supervision of airecore drilling programs
  • Supervision of aircore and RC drilling programs
  • Identification and interpretation of sedimentary sequences and host lithologies
  • Sample collection and QA/QC management
  • Data management and reporting
  • Assisting with geological interpretations and target evaluation
  • Maintaining high safety and environmental standards
