An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Rig Geologist to join a well-funded exploration company undertaking a major gold drilling campaign in the Northern Territory with recent success.
Working as part of a small, close-knit geology team, you'll play a key role in supervising and managing one of four active drill rigs across a highly prospective and under-explored gold province. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the field and takes pride in producing high-quality geological data.
The project is focused on advancing several priority gold targets identified through systematic exploration, with the objective of discovering and defining significant gold resources.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Geology
- Previous experience supervising exploration drilling programs
- Strong geological logging, sampling and QA/QC skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to capture geological data both accurately and efficiently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Current Australian manual driver's licence & 4WD experience
- First Aid Desirable
- Full Australian working rights

Position Duties:
- Supervising and managing an active RC and/or diamond drill rig
- Geological logging and accurate sample collection
- Maintaining high standards of QA/QC and data management
- Ensuring geological data is captured accurately and efficiently
- Liaising with drilling contractors and field personnel
- Maintaining safe and productive drilling operations
- Contributing to exploration targeting and program success
