LD18520 - Contract Exploration Geologist – Goldfields WA

Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Exploration Geologist to support active Resource Definition drilling programs across the Kalgoorlie region, along with an upcoming greenfields aircore program.

Joining an established geology team, you will contribute to resource growth and exploration activities as the company advances towards future underground and open-pit operations.

Initially offered on a contract basis, the role has the potential to transition into a permanent position.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Geology
Previous experience working across gold exploration and/or Resource Definition programs
Experience supervising aircore, RC and/or diamond drilling
Strong geological logging, sampling and QA/QC skills
Good understanding of exploration data collection and management
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced field environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Current Australian manual driver’s licence
Current working rights in Australia

8 days on, 6 days off roster
FIFO from Perth to Kalgoorlie, with flights provided

Position Duties:

Supervise and support Resource Definition and greenfields exploration drilling programs
Manage aircore, RC and/or diamond drilling activities
Complete geological logging, sampling and data collection
Ensure appropriate QA/QC procedures are maintained
Liaise with drilling contractors and site personnel
Assist with drill planning and the successful delivery of exploration programs
Maintain accurate geological and operational records
Support geological interpretation and ongoing exploration activities

Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience across gold exploration and/or Resource Definition drilling programs.
