An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Exploration Geologist to join a well-funded Australian gold explorer for an upcoming drilling campaign across a highly prospective greenfields gold project in Western Australia's Duketon Greenstone Belt.

This is a hands-on exploration role for someone who enjoys being in the field, managing drilling programs and contributing directly to exploration success.

About the Role

Working closely with the Exploration Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of Aircore and RC drilling programs, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.

This is an initial 1–2 month contract commencing in early August, with the potential for ongoing work as exploration activities continue.

About You

  • Degree in Geology or related discipline.
  • Previous experience managing Aircore and RC drilling programs.
  • Strong understanding of exploration geology and field-based exploration practices.
  • Passion for greenfields exploration and discovering new mineralisation.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in the field.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Current Manual Driver's Licence.

Position Duties:

  • Manage Aircore and RC drilling programs from planning through to completion.
  • Supervise drilling contractors and ensure programs are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Geological logging, sampling and QA/QC.
  • Interpret geological data and assist with target generation.
  • Maintain accurate geological records and reporting.
  • Work closely with the exploration team to support ongoing project development.
