We currently have an urgent requirement for an experienced Contract Open Pit Geologist to join a new open pit operation in the Murchison region of Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small, collaborative team during the startup phase of a gold operation.

Requirements

Proven experience in open pit mining (gold experience highly regarded);
Strong background in grade control and orebody interpretation;
Ability to work effectively within a small, fast-paced team;
Current manual driver’s licence;
Availability for immediate start.

Position Duties:

Manage and execute grade control processes and data collection;
Validate geological interpretations in active mining areas;
Conduct reconciliation reviews and reporting;
Collaborate closely with mining operations to optimise ore recovery and minimise dilution;
Improve confidence in short-term production forecasts;
Mentor and support site geology personnel.
