A well-established WA gold producer is seeking a Project Geologist – Underground to join its Production / Technical Services team at a high-grade underground operation in the Goldfields.

This is a key role responsible for building and sustaining the underground resource base, ensuring high-quality grade control modelling and supporting mine planning through accurate geological data and timely drilling delivery.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience
Strong background in grade control and underground resource development
Proficient in Leapfrog and Surpac
Solid understanding of structural modelling and underground orebody interpretation
Experience coordinating diamond drilling programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to production-driven deadlines
BSc in Geology (or equivalent)
Current WA Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence
National Police Clearance

Position Duties:

Coordinate and oversee all underground diamond drilling activities
Design and manage drilling programs in line with production and resource development schedules
Generate and maintain grade control block models
Monitor sampling procedures, assay QA/QC and data validation
Maintain and update geological wireframes (lithology, mineralisation, structure)
Liaise closely with Mining, Tech Services and Field teams to optimise ore drive placement and minimise dilution
Complete end-of-month reconciliations and contribute to technical reporting
Ensure drilling and modelling outputs align with 3-month production planning requirements
