Gold | WA | Large-Scale Multi-Rig Programs

Our client, an active and well-funded gold explorer, is seeking a Senior / Project Exploration Geologist to lead large, complex field programs in the Mid-West/Murchison region.

This is not a purely technical, desktop-focused senior role. We are looking for a program leader, someone who thrives on coordinating multiple rigs, leading sizeable field teams, and delivering drilling programs safely, efficiently and on budget.

What We’re Looking For

10 + years’ professional experience as a geologist
BSc Geology
Strong WA exploration background (gold preferred)
Proven experience managing multi-rig drilling programs
Demonstrated leadership of large field teams
Solid budgeting and contractor management capability
Ability to balance operational delivery with technical oversight

Ideally, you bring both technical capability and strong project leadership skills — but the priority is someone who can run complex programs at scale.

Position Duties:

Run multiple concurrent RC and diamond rigs
Manage teams of up to 40–50 geologists and field technicians
Contractor management and performance oversight
Budget control and cost tracking
Program scheduling and drill prioritisation
Data integrity and reporting to senior management
You’ll be the person keeping all moving parts aligned — rigs turning, teams coordinated, contractors accountable, and management informed.
