An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Geologist to join a growing exploration team working across projects in the Yandal Greenstone Belt, WA.
This role will suit a geologist with 5+ years’ exploration experience, ideally within gold and/or base metals, who is looking to play a key role in supporting active drilling programs within a remote exploration environment.
About the Role
Working on a 13/8 or 2/1 FIFO roster, you will be involved in the day-to-day execution of exploration programs from a newly established 21-person camp. With multiple rigs operating on site, you will support drilling activities, assist with contractor coordination, and contribute to the overall success of the exploration program.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in exploration geology
- Exposure to gold and/or base metals exploration (WA experience highly regarded)
- Experience working with RC and/or diamond drilling programs
- Sound understanding of QA/QC procedures and data management
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, site-based environment
- Current manual driver’s licence (preferred)
Position Duties:
- Assist with the supervision of aircore, RC and diamond drilling programs
- Logging and sampling of RC and diamond drill holes
- Support target generation and geological interpretation
- Ensure QA/QC protocols and geological data management are maintained
- Liaise with drilling contractors and field teams
- Contribute to safe and efficient field operations
- Assist senior team members with program planning and execution
