Mining Employment Services is currently seeking an experienced RC Exploration Geologist for an immediate start with one of our valued gold mining clients in Western Australia’s Murchison region.
This is a great opportunity for a capable and self-motivated geologist who is confident managing an RC drill rig independently and ensuring timely, accurate geological data collection in the field.
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous RC geology experience, preferably in gold exploration
- Confidence working independently with an RC rig
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data collection skills
- Good communication and contractor management skills
- Manual driver’s licence
- Experience with LogChief will be highly regarded
- Greenstone exploration experience, particularly in the Murchison, will be looked upon favourably
This role is available for an ASAP start and would suit an experienced field-focused geologist who enjoys taking ownership of drilling programs and working closely with contractors and site teams.
Position Duties:
- Managing RC drilling contractors and day-to-day rig activities
- Sieve and log RC chips accurately and efficiently
- Manage survey, sampling and geological data
- Ensure drilling information is captured and reported in a timely manner
- Maintain strong communication with site teams, contractors and technical personnel
- Self-manage priorities in a fast-moving exploration environment
- Work safely and contribute positively as part of a small site-based team
