Our client, an ASX-listed gold exploration and development company, is seeking a highly qualified Fixed Plant Electrician / Instrumentation Technician to join its team. This role offers FIFO short term coverage on a 15:13 day shift / 14:14 night shift.
Job Requirements
- Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence;
- WA Manual Driver’s Licence;
- Electrical Trade Qualification and High Voltage Switching Qualification;
- Experience installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control, instrumentation, and electrical equipment;
- Competent with reporting, completing electrical logs, and working within a work order maintenance system;
- Strong understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment procedures;
- Minimum 3+ years of fixed plant electrical / instrumentation experience.
Position Duties:
- Diagnose LV and HV power installations and carry out control system repairs, modifications, and adjustments;
- Conduct maintenance activities, inspection testing, and calibration on fixed plant equipment and instrumentation;
- Install and commission modifications and design changes to control, instrumentation, and electrical systems;
- Maintain motors, transformers, and other electrical apparatus;
- Repair and replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures as required;
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures;
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and required repairs while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes.
Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in Gold Processing Plants.
