Mining Employment Services is currently seeking experienced Fixed Plant Electricians / Instrumentation Technicians for FIFO opportunities with a successful WA gold producer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, long-term gold operation with a modern processing plant, strong production profile and a well-supported maintenance team. The role would suit an electrician who is comfortable working across fixed plant maintenance, fault-finding, instrumentation, electrical installations, and plant improvement work.
Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability across the processing operation.
To be considered, you will need:
• WA Electrical Licence;
• Electrical Trade Qualification;
• High Voltage Switching qualification;
• Current WA Manual Driver’s Licence;
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in gold processing or similar fixed plant environments;
• Experience with LV/HV electrical systems, instrumentation and process plant control systems;
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills;
• A proactive attitude towards safety, reliability and continuous improvement;
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and National Police Clearance.

Position Duties:
- Diagnose LV and HV electrical faults and carry out repairs, modifications and adjustments;
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant electrical and instrumentation equipment;
- Maintain motors, switchboards, transformers, control systems and associated plant infrastructure;
- Carry out inspection, testing and calibration of instrumentation;
- Install and commission electrical, instrumentation and control system upgrades;
- Repair and replace electrical wiring, fixtures and plant equipment as required;
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and required repairs;
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve plant reliability and availability;
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Australian Standards, site procedures and statutory requirements.
