Our client, an ASX-listed gold company, is seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Supervisor to join their growing gold operation on a FIFO ex-Perth 8:6 roster.

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role with a well-established WA gold producer, working with a capable maintenance team at an operation with genuine plant improvement, reliability and growth projects ahead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading fixed plant maintenance activities, supervising trades and contractors, driving safe work practices, and helping improve plant availability, reliability and uptime.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant Australian Mechanical Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical;
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification;
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ fixed plant maintenance experience within gold processing;
  • Previous supervisory experience, or strong leading hand experience ready to step up;
  • Strong leadership, communication and safety focus;
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS);
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening;
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence.

Position Duties:

  • Lead and mentor the fixed plant maintenance team to maximise plant availability, reliability and safety.
  • Coordinate and oversee preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with statutory requirements, company policies and HSE regulations.
  • Drive reliability improvement initiatives and defect elimination programs to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Work closely with operations, projects and supply teams to optimise maintenance planning and minimise production interruptions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and maintain high standards across all maintenance activities.
