Our client, a strong lithium producer is currently seeking a Mining Engineer to join their technical services department. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer you will be responsible for short term mine scheduling, mine designs, production plans and production reporting in support of the Company's open pit mine and production activity.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering;
  • All work experience required to obtain a Quarry Managers Certificate;
  • Current proficiency in Providing First Aid (desirable);
  • Competent using mine planning and designs software Vulcan and Alastri;
  • Basic proficiency in mine scheduling and associated software.

Position Duties:

  • Open pit mine designs including waste dumps, haul roads and ROM stockpiles;
  • Generation of 36HR mine plan, 2 weekly mine schedules;
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly mine production reports;
  • Review and manage weekly conformance to plan;
  • Assist in cost benefit analysis on continuous improvement projects;
  • Liasing with production scheduler, mining supervisor, drill and blast engineer, mine surveyors, mine geologists and pit technicians.
