Our client, a gold producer experiencing unparalleled growth and offering exceptional opportunities for their employees, is currently seeking a Senior Underground Mining Engineer to join their new startup project.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in mining engineering;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills;
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations;
- Competent using Deswik;
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate, or experience to qualify.
Position Duties:
- Develop schedules and short-term mine plans for underground operation;
- Review drill & blast designs, liaising with mining personnel to ensure mine plans are executed efficiently and safely;
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting against budget;
- Oversee the day-to-day production output of the Mining team;
- Effectively mentor, coach, and develop Mining Engineers.
Experience
7+ years experience in a similar role on gold or base metal projects
