Our client, an innovative and progressing WA gold producer is seeking an Alternate Underground Manager to work across two of their operations. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering - Mining;
  • First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
  • Ability to coach and develop junior engineers;
  • Business improvement initiatives.

Position Duties:

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture among underground teams;
  • Uphold and advocate for the Project Operational Safety Plan;
  • Champion company policies, values, and best practices;
  • Ensure 13-week targets align with calendar year and fiscal year budgets;
  • Review and approve underground mine plans, including MIs, LENs, SENs, DAF, and MDAF;
  • Train and mentor underground engineers for professional development;
  • Oversee underground and surface projects involving contractors and principals;
  • Complete and approve end-of-month accruals;
  • Present site budgets and financials to key stakeholders;
  • Act as Deputy Registered Manager when required;
  • Create, submit, and approve Capital Expenditure Requests;
  • Review operational reports for accuracy and performance monitoring;
  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly mining reports to the General Manager.
