Our client, an innovative and progressing WA gold producer is seeking an Alternate Underground Manager to work across two of their operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering - Mining;
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
- Ability to coach and develop junior engineers;
- Business improvement initiatives.
Position Duties:
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture among underground teams;
- Uphold and advocate for the Project Operational Safety Plan;
- Champion company policies, values, and best practices;
- Ensure 13-week targets align with calendar year and fiscal year budgets;
- Review and approve underground mine plans, including MIs, LENs, SENs, DAF, and MDAF;
- Train and mentor underground engineers for professional development;
- Oversee underground and surface projects involving contractors and principals;
- Complete and approve end-of-month accruals;
- Present site budgets and financials to key stakeholders;
- Act as Deputy Registered Manager when required;
- Create, submit, and approve Capital Expenditure Requests;
- Review operational reports for accuracy and performance monitoring;
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly mining reports to the General Manager.
