MES is currently looking for an Alternate Underground Manager to join our client, a new gold development with extensive open pit and underground operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical services support in both planning and production for the mining operation. This role also requires statutory supervision of the underground mine.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering;
  • First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
  • Competent using Datamine, Ventsim software or similar.

Position Duties:

  • Manage daily production activities;
  • Oversee stoping design development and implementation;
  • Ensure safe, efficient execution of planning and production tasks in compliance with the plan;
  • Handle End of Month reporting;
  • Identify and complete infrastructure and optimisation projects;
  • Prepare and monitor budgets;
  • Ensure procedures align with WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
Experience
Previous experience working on narrow vein underground gold mining.
