Our client, an Australian gold producer, developer and explorer is currently seeking a Senior Underground Mining Engineer to join the technical services department.
Requirements:
- Tertiary level Mining Engineering degree;
- Western Australian First Class Managers Certificate;
- Experience using Deswik and Surpac or an equivalent software design package;
- Competence and confidence to lead an underground engineering team across all production, ventilation, planning and scheduling activities.
Position Duties:
- Develop schedules and short-term mine plans for underground operation;
- Review drill & blast designs, liaising with mining personnel to ensure mine plans are executed efficiently and safely;
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting against budget;
- Oversee the day-to-day production output of the Mining team;
- Effectively mentor, coach, and develop Mining Engineers.
