- Appointment (or eligibility for appointment) as Alternate Underground Manager in Western Australia.
- Extensive underground hard rock mining experience.
- Strong leadership capability with a collaborative and accountable management style.
- Proven experience in underground production and development environments.
- Sound understanding of WA mining legislation and statutory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Position Duties:
- Act as Alternate Underground Manager in accordance with WA mining legislation.
- Support and relieve the Underground Manager as required.
- Provide visible safety leadership and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations.
- Oversee underground production, development, ventilation, ground control, and paste/fill operations.
- Lead, mentor and develop underground supervisors and operational teams.
- Monitor and optimise production performance against budget and plan.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, cost and productivity.
Experience
