Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
- WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 8 years’ underground mining experience
- Previous experience in an Underground Manager role
- Strong understanding of WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Experience with mine planning and scheduling systems (Deswik advantageous)
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting and forecasting
Position Duties:
- Provide visible, safety-focused leadership and foster a high-performing team culture;
- Lead and coordinate all underground activities, including development, production, and services;
- Manage and oversee underground mining contractors to meet budget and schedule targets;
- Ensure all operations comply with site procedures and relevant WHS legislation;
- Act as the statutory Underground Manager and fulfil associated legal responsibilities;
- Monitor operational performance and deliver accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, cost, and productivity.
