A successful and well-established underground gold operation in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields is looking for a Mine Planning Engineer to join the team on a 3–6 month contract. You’ll play a key role in the development and execution of mine plans that drive safe and productive outcomes. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to both short-term planning and longer-range optimisation work.

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Mining Engineering

Minimum 2 years’ experience in underground mine planning (gold preferred)

Proficiency in Deswik, VentSim, and Microsoft Office

Solid experience in short-term scheduling and mine design
Position Duties:
- Create and communicate detailed mine schedules that align with operational goals;
- Prepare development designs and instructions for the underground team;
- Ensure mine plans integrate safety, ventilation, paste, and infrastructure requirements;
- Support infrastructure planning and strategic optimisation projects;
- Liaise with operations teams to align planning with production targets
