An opportunity is available for an experienced Field Assistant to support their ongoing exploration programs.
This is a casual, ad hoc position, with field campaigns generally running for approximately two weeks at a time. The role will suit someone who is flexible, comfortable working in remote environments and available for campaign-based assignments as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete soil and rock-chip sampling programs.
- Assist geologists with field mapping activities.
- Support Aircore and RC drilling programs.
- Collect, label and process drill samples.
- Assist with camp establishment, maintenance and pack-down.
- Accurately record field and sample information.
- Assist with general exploration and logistical duties.
- Maintain safe working practices in remote environments.
About You
- Previous Field Assistant or exploration fieldwork experience.
- Experience with soil sampling and AC or RC drilling programs.
- Comfortable undertaking physically demanding work in remote environments
- Confident operating a 4WD in remote conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Current manual driver’s licence.
- Valid Australian working rights.
