We are seeking an experienced Pit Technician to join a dynamic mining operation in Western Australia on a 2:2 FIFO roster.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated mining professional with strong open-pit experience to support day-to-day production activities, grade control, ore spotting and geological data collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide geological and technical support to open-pit mining operations.
- Conduct ore spotting and grade control activities.
- Complete face mapping, geological mapping and sampling.
- Assist with RC and diamond drilling programs.
- Conduct accurate geological logging and sampling.
- Collect and validate geological and production data.
- Assist with blast-hole sampling and interpretation.
- Work closely with Mining, Geology and Grade Control teams.
- Maintain accurate geological records and databases.
- Assist with reconciliation and ore/waste identification.
- Ensure all activities comply with site safety and environmental requirements.
About You
- Previous experience as a Pit Technician, Field Technician, Geology Technician or similar within an open-pit mining environment.
- Experience with grade control, sampling and ore spotting highly desirable.
- Understanding of open-pit mining and geological processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with mining and geology teams.
- Current Australian work rights.
- Ability to work a 2:2 FIFO roster.
