Our client, a leading Australian gold operation, has secured additional drill rigs and is now seeking an experienced Core Logging Geologist to provide urgent support with diamond core logging for their surface drilling programs.
The Core Logging Geologist is responsible for effective and accurate collection and compilation of drilling data which includes diamond drilling techniques
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Geology
- Experience with geological logging software
- Two years plus diamond core logging experience. Preferentially with WA gold experience.
- Clear communication
- Self-motivated, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Position Duties:
- To provide data collection of geological features from diamond drilling.
- Track drilling activities to ensure safe and effective use of diamond drilling
- Provide direction and end of hole calls of underground diamond drilling to ensure maximum efficiency and minimise
costs.
- Data validation of diamond drill holes, ensuring a high-quality data set for ore and geological features modelling.
