Our client, a central player in gold mining is currently seeking Senior Ventilation Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Mine Engineering Superintendent, you will ensure safe, sustainable production from the mine through the provision of ventilation engineering.
Requirements:
- Qualification (diploma or degree) in which a substantial component of curriculum in ventilation engineering or as approved by the Mine Ventilation Society of Australia;
- Successful completion of a hygiene course in the sampling and assessment of atmospheric contaminants that is approved by the State Mining Engineer;
- Strong expertise and understanding within ventilation of deep underground mines.
Position Duties:
- Ensure mine ventilation is planned, maintained and monitored as prescribed in WA Work Health and Safety Act Regulations;
- Develop and maintain appropriate vent models and plan changes in line with the short to life of mine plans;
- Liaising with maintenance team on matters of ventilation fixed plant maintenance and reliability monitoring;
- Contribution to the timey preparation of plans and schedules that optimise both production and ventilation compliance needs;
- Review LOM designs for best practice, liaising with ventilation consultants to optimise LOM and long term infrastructure;
