SM18567 Underground Production Engineer

An opportunity is available for an Underground Production Engineer to join a WA gold mining operation on an 8:6 FIFO roster.

The role will work closely with the underground mining team to support safe and efficient production, with a strong focus on day-to-day operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to underground mining operations.
• Develop and maintain short-term production plans.
• Support development and production scheduling.
• Monitor mining performance against plan and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with drill and blast design, stope design and mining sequences.
• Work closely with Underground Supervisors and Mining Management.
• Provide technical input into production reporting, forecasting and operational improvement.
• Ensure mining activities are planned and executed safely and efficiently.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Previous underground hard-rock mining experience, preferably gold.
• Practical production engineering experience.
• Understanding of underground development, production and drill & blast.
• Experience with Deswik or similar mining software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively with both technical and operational teams.
