We are seeking an experienced Underground Planning Engineer to join an established gold operation in the Central Goldfields region of Western Australia.
This is an opportunity for a motivated Mining Engineer to take ownership of underground mine planning, working closely with the technical services and operations teams to deliver safe, practical and achievable mine plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short- and medium-term underground mine plans.
- Prepare mine designs, schedules, development and production plans.
- Monitor and report on mining performance against plan.
- Work closely with Underground Mining, Geology and Technical Services teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve mine sequencing, productivity and resource utilisation.
- Provide planning support for budgets, forecasts and life-of-mine planning.
- Ensure plans comply with site standards, statutory requirements and operational constraints.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
- Previous experience in underground hard-rock mining, preferably gold.
- Strong underground mine planning and scheduling experience.
- Competent with Deswik and/or other mine planning software.
- Strong understanding of underground mining methods, development and production scheduling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- WA underground mining experience highly regarded.
