29 July 2026 | Western Australia - Talonx Resources has reported high-grade gold results from one-metre resampling at the Viking Gold Project, located around 30km southeast of Norseman in Western Australia.

The standout result came from the Beaker 2 prospect, where resampling of anomalous composite samples from recent RC drilling returned:

  • 4m at 22.1 g/t gold from 31m, including 2m at 42.4 g/t gold from 32m

The result comes from drill hole 26VKRC010 and is associated with strong quartz veining within sheared granite host rocks.

Talonx said the high-grade result was resolved from a previously reported composite interval of 8m at 11.02 g/t gold from 32m.

Executive Chairman Dr Steve Lennon said the result demonstrates the potential for very high-grade shoots within the broader shallow oxide gold system at Beaker 2.

Why it matters: Beaker 2 is now showing potential for both shallow oxide gold mineralisation and higher-grade quartz-vein-hosted mineralisation that may continue into fresh rock.

Talonx said all ten RC holes drilled at Beaker 2 returned gold mineralisation, confirming a shallow oxide zone across an area of approximately 400m by 300m. Mineralisation was consistently intersected at shallow depths of about 20m to 40m and remains open to the west, north and south.

The company is now planning follow-up RC drilling to test the open western margin of the oxide gold zone, its northern and southern strike extensions, and deeper fresh-rock targets beneath 26VKRC010.

Talonx also reported results from its Blair North Project near Kalgoorlie, including 1m at 1.3 g/t gold from 47m and 6m at 1.1 g/t gold from 66m at Commodore North.

Following the next round of drilling at Beaker 2, Talonx said it will assess the potential for an initial Mineral Resource estimate.

For Western Australia’s gold sector, the Viking update adds a shallow high-grade exploration story near Norseman, with follow-up drilling now aimed at testing whether the high-grade zone can be expanded into a future resource.
