Our leading client, globally relevant gold miner, is looking for an Underground Mining Engineer to join their team.
In this position, you will be a part of the Technical Services Team, which looks after various mines, so you will not be assigned to one particular mine but will have to opportunity to gain experience at multiple mines.

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or similar;
- Current WA Manual Driver's Licence (preferred);
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships;
- A strong focus on safety and the ability to work to strict deadlines;
- A good understanding of relevant Australian legislation, mining regulations and operating conditions, especially the WA Mines Act and Regulations.
Position Duties:
- Identifying where plans and actions are diverging and addressing the gaps to maintain adherence to the plan;
- Develop and provide safe and efficient drill and blast plans;
- Manage contractors on site and assist Senior Supervisors with day to day running of the mine;
- Daily monitoring, recording and optimisation of production progress;
- Conduct mine process and business improvement studies as required;
- Assist the Senior Engineer in establishing and implementing safe working practices and procedures;
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements concerning mining activities are met.
Experience
4+ years experience working as an Underground Mining Engineer (gold preferable, but not essential).
