Our client, a high-grade Australian gold producer with two operations in WA, is seeking an Underground Mining Engineer to join their team.
Underground mining at this operation is underway following the establishment of infrastructure and services.
Requirements:
- Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering;
- Completed UG practical experience required for WA FCMMCC;
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (desirable, not essential);
- Outstanding analytical skills and high attention to detail;
- Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills;
- Proficient in using Datamine and Deswik & Surpac.
Position Duties:
- Coordination of production in the weekly, monthly and quarterly plans;
- Develop and provide safe and efficient drill and blast plans;
- Provide technical advice, planning and methodology of all aspects of the underground mining operation;
- Contribute to monitoring of all mine activities, including ventilation;
- Provide rolling development and production schedules and other relevant information as required;
- Assistance with the development of life of mine plans and development of operational budgets;
Experience
4-5 years experience working in a similar position.
