MES is seeking an experienced Alternate Underground Manager to join our client's team.
The underground mine is a world-class, massive sulphide base and precious metals operation, producing zinc, copper, lead, gold, and silver concentrates.
The mine life is ten plus years with a high probability of extension.
Requirements:
- Western Australian First Class Manager's Certificate;
- Mining Engineering Degree;
- Experience in Deswik and or an equivalent software design package;
- Excellent leadership & communication skills;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- A thorough understanding and application of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
Position Duties:
- Develop schedules and short-term mine plans for underground operation;
- Review drill & blast designs, liaising with mining personnel to ensure mine plans are executed efficiently and safely;
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting against budget;
- Alternate as UG Manager, provides leadership to underground operations.
Experience
7+ years underground mining experience.
