Core Logging Geologist | 15/13 FIFO ex Perth | Day Shift
Put your diamond core-logging experience to work at a high-grade underground gold operation in the WA Goldfields, approximately 80 kilometres northwest of Kalgoorlie. Join an established Western Australian gold explorer and producer's technical team, support active resource-development drilling and enjoy a near-even-time 15-days-on/13-days-off roster with day shift only. An immediate start is available.

What you'll be doing
- Complete detailed geological and structural logging of diamond core
- Undertake core orientation, marking and photography
- Select and prepare samples for laboratory submission
- Maintain accurate geological and sampling records
- Manage drill data and complete relevant QA/QC checks
- Assist with geological interpretation and resource-development drilling
- Liaise with drilling contractors, field personnel and the site geology team
- Maintain high safety and environmental standards
What you'll bring
- A tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline
- Hands-on diamond core-logging experience
- Recent experience in WA gold geology
- Sound sampling and QA/QC knowledge
- Good geological data-management and computer skills
- A current Australian manual driver's licence
- Full Australian working rights
- The ability to commence at short notice
Exposure to underground or resource-development drilling will be highly regarded.
