LD18268 MOP Sampler – Field Assistant + Core Shed (4 roles)

This is a mixed role split between field sampling and core shed support at an operating site in the WA Goldfields.

How the role works

Field work (approx. 3–5 days per month): sampling from ROM / mobile crusher stock as part of a haulage agreement
Core shed (remainder of roster): core cutting, metre marking, orientations and general sample prep support

What you’ll need

Comfortable working outdoors in heat; fit, healthy and safety-focused
Good organisational skills and attention to detail in the core shed
Open-pit experience is advantageous
Happy to step up when field sampling is required (no fuss, get it done approach)
Current WA C-class manual driver’s licence

Position Duties:

Ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and compliant to current Company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations
Attend pre-start meetings daily
Monitor safety inspections and action items to achieve deadlines
Prioritise and complete MOP Sampling when directed by supervisors
Provide timely support for resource definition and exploration work through hands on contribution in the field, including:
Drill core operations, including mark-up, orientation, photography, magnetic susceptibility, RQD, densities, recoveries, core cutting and sampling
Prioritising and processing all diamond core at the exploration coreyard: grade control, resource, and exploration programs.
Drill chip sampling- primarily RC and Diamond; Drill chip collection, washing & storage - ‘chipping’; Movement of heavy sample bags - ‘bag farming’
Implementation of Company QAQC procedures
Collect, record and transport samples of rock, soil or water
Collate information collected from a range of samples and carry out computer processing of the data
