An established and high-performing underground gold operation in Western Australia is currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Underground Service Crew Operator to join their team on a FIFO.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate underground Service Crew activities;

Install, extend and maintain underground air, water and ventilation services;

Install and maintain underground pipework and associated services;
-
Assist with ventilation installation and management;
-
Coordinate daily tasks and allocate work to crew members;
-
Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently;
-
Assist with underground development and production activities;
-
Operate underground mobile equipment as required;
-
Conduct pre-starts, inspections and equipment checks;
-
Identify and report equipment faults and underground hazards;
-
Work closely with Supervisors, Underground Management and other mining crews;
-
Mentor and support less experienced crew members;
-
Maintain high standards of housekeeping;
-
Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, standards and instructions.
About You;
To be successful, you will have:
-
Solid underground mining experience;
-
Previous Underground Service Crew experience;
-
Previous Leading Hand or senior crew experience;
-
Experience installing underground air, water and ventilation services;
-
Experience with underground pipework and service installation;
-
Poly welding experience highly regarded;
-
Experience operating underground mobile equipment;
-
Strong leadership and communication skills;
-
Ability to coordinate and motivate a small crew;
-
Strong focus on safety and quality;
-
Australian Manual C Class Driver’s Licence;
-
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen;

Valid working rights in Australia.
