Our client is currently seeking an experienced Mining Superintendent to join their team on a FIFO Roster 8:6.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mining leader looking to take on a senior operational role with a well-established mining operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the mining team;
- Oversee day-to-day mining operations and production activities;
- Ensure mining activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with operational plans;
- Drive production performance and achieve planned targets;
- Manage and coordinate mining crews, contractors and equipment;
- Work closely with the Mining Manager, Geology, Engineering, Processing and Maintenance teams;
- Monitor production performance, costs and operational efficiencies;
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards, procedures and statutory requirements;
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement;
- Manage operational issues and provide effective solutions;
- Support workforce planning, crew management and performance;
- Promote a strong safety culture across the mining team;
- Ensure equipment and resources are effectively utilised.
About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Mining Superintendent or senior mining leadership role;
- Strong underground mining experience;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage mining teams;
- Strong understanding of production planning and mining processes;
- Excellent communication and organisational skills;
- Strong focus on safety and operational performance;
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders;
- Australian working rights;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening;
- Current Australian driver's licence.
