Our client, a world leading lithium minerals producer with the world's largest high-grade ore body is seeking a Medium Term Mine Planning Engineer to join the team.

Requirements:

  • Formal Engineering, Geology or Surveying qualification;
  • Strong report writing skills;
  • IT literate with mining and scheduling software.

Position Duties:

  • Assist with mine feasibility and optimisation studies as required and complete robust economic evaluations to differentiate between different mining options or projects;
  • Assist with the compilation of the Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve statements;
  • Using Life of Mine plans and the lithium production calendar for guidance and processing targets, compile medium term mine plans (3 month to 5 year horizon) to assist Production Engineers in the creation of short-term plans;
  • Reconcile production performance against medium term plans and investigate improvement opportunities;
  • High level scheduling of RC grade control and wall support drilling requirements over the medium-term planning horizon.
Experience
Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience in a mine planning role.
