Santana reports high-grade gold intercepts from RAS infill drilling

Santana Minerals said infill drilling at its Rise and Shine deposit had reinforced its interpretation of gold grade continuity in areas targeted for early mining. Reported results included 26.9 metres at 13.0 g/t gold from 152.3 metres in hole MDD537 and 34.4 metres at 8.8 g/t gold from 160.7 metres in MDD536.

Additional reported intercepts included 17 metres at 5.9 g/t gold from 176 metres and 8.5 metres at 4.2 g/t gold from 198 metres in MDD535. Santana also reported 10.2 metres at 10.1 g/t gold from 175.8 metres and 14.4 metres at 3.3 g/t gold from 189.7 metres in MDD534B.

The company said the programme comprised 16 holes totalling 3,503 metres and reduced average drill spacing in the targeted early-mining areas from about 25 metres to 21 metres. Santana said assay results had generally aligned with predictions from its existing Mineral Resource model.

According to Santana, increased drill density identified a previously unrecognised high-grade gold domain within the existing LG1 low-grade domain. The company said results were undergoing geological assessment before incorporation into future resource modelling and mine planning.
