Core Lithium said final assays from NMRD108 extended the previously reported 29m at 1.35% Li2O intersection to 74.0m at 1.32% Li2O from 209m. The company reported that the interval is a downhole length and estimated its true thickness at approximately 43m.
Hole NMRD110 returned 21.7m at 1.28% Li2O from 63.3m and 6.0m at 1.20% Li2O from 114.0m within a broader 76.7m mineralised interval grading 0.77% Li2O from 63.3m. Core said geological and structural interpretation was continuing and the true thickness of this intersection could not yet be estimated with confidence.
Core said drilling at Blackbeard remains ongoing, with additional holes designed to expand the known extent of pegmatite and mineralisation. The company also stated that no Mineral Resource has yet been estimated for Blackbeard because drill spacing is insufficient to establish geological and grade continuity for resource estimation.
The Blackbeard program is a staged, gated diamond drilling campaign totalling 12,150m and forms part of Core's stated strategy for resource growth and mine-life extension at Finniss.
