Pioneer starts field exploration at San Francisco

Pioneer said its in-country technical team, Andes Exploration, has begun field activities at San Francisco. Historical diamond drill core held at the Villa Nueva storage facility was inspected and found to be appropriately stored and in good condition, supporting a planned systematic relogging program.

The planned program includes relogging selected historical core, field verification and mapping of priority geochemical targets, assessment of access and logistics, and integration of field observations with the existing 3D geological model. The company said the work is intended to validate historical interpretations and guide locations for subsequent exploration.

Pioneer reported historical drilling at the San Francisco breccia included 109m at 4.94 g/t gold, 109 g/t silver and 1.13% copper from 12m in hole SFDH-012, and 83m at 4.40 g/t gold, 82 g/t silver and 0.43% copper from 25m in SFDH-011.
