NGX secures rights to acquire Namibian exploration licences

Subsequent to the September quarter, NGX announced it had secured rights to acquire up to an 85% interest in seven exploration licences in Namibia's Damara Belt. The licences comprise four granted licences, one pending renewal and two applications, according to the company.

NGX also secured the right to acquire up to an 85% interest in the 194km² Karas Copper Project, which is adjacent to Koryx Copper's Haib deposit. The company said Karas contains known copper occurrences including the historically worked Sperlingputs prospect.

In Malawi, NGX drilled 61 auger holes during the quarter, including 19 at Msinja and 42 at Lifidzi. The company said the program confirmed high-grade rutile at Msinja, while stating that any potential integration of rutile into a future Malingunde operation would require further drilling, metallurgical testwork and economic assessment.
