Astral completed 141 reverse-circulation holes for 14,468m and seven diamond holes for 4,465m at Mandilla during the quarter. The RC work formed part of infill drilling at the Theia deposit’s proposed Stage 1 open pit, while diamond drilling tested Theia Deeps.
The company said the Theia Deeps diamond program had been expanded to 21 holes for 11,000m following ongoing drilling success, with 18 holes completed. Astral said the program is intended to assess depth extensions beneath the current mineral resource estimate and potential high-grade extensions along strike and at depth.
Astral is progressing a definitive feasibility study for Mandilla, which it forecasts will be completed in the March quarter of 2027. The company also said land use agreements now cover all tenure subject to the Mandilla DFS.
At Feysville, MMS has received approval for the NVCP for the Think Big development and is awaiting approval for its Mine Development and Closure Plan. Astral said MDCP approval was expected during the December quarter, subject to the stated timing and other conditions.
