Monadelphous secures more than $110m in new contracts

Monadelphous Group has secured new construction and maintenance contracts worth more than A$110 million across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors, including two new Western Australian work packages.

Immediate civil work at Port Hedland

Monadelphous’ civil business, Melchor, has been awarded a contract by Pilbara Ports for the Utah Ring Road Reconstruction Project at the Utah Bulk Handling Facility in Port Hedland.

Work is scheduled to commence immediately and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2028, providing a multi-year civil delivery program in one of Western Australia’s largest mining-export hubs.

Services contract at Murrin Murrin

Monadelphous has also secured a 12-month contract to provide services at Glencore’s Murrin Murrin Operations in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

The announcement does not detail individual work packages or vacancies, but the award adds to Monadelphous’ maintenance and industrial-services activity in the state.

PNG construction package

A further contract with Santos covers work associated with the APF Tie-In Project in Papua New Guinea’s Southern Highlands. The scope includes construction of a well pad, gathering systems and brownfield facility upgrades, with completion expected in 2028.

Workforce outlook

The combined awards span civil construction, maintenance and brownfield project delivery. Potential capability requirements may include project management, supervision, HSE, quality, civil, mechanical, electrical, planning and site support personnel, although Monadelphous has not announced specific vacancies.

Next steps

Mobilisation for the Port Hedland work is expected to begin immediately, while the Murrin Murrin services term and PNG construction program will progress under their respective contract schedules.
