Our Client is seeking experienced Underground Production Engineers to join their growing team! 

This will be working for a high-performing and established gold mining company on one of their gold operations in Western Australia. 

Requirements: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering;
  • Current WA Manual Driver's Licence;
  • Current National Police Clearance from within the last 12 months;
  • Previous exposure of underground drill and blast practices, preferably within a gold mine;
  • Competent in designing and implementing drill and blast plans;
  • Exposure to Surpac or equivalent software design packages;
  • Knowledge of Deswik UGD.

Position Duties:

  • Completion of drilling plans aligned with 13WK schedule;
  • Tele remote plans for underground bogging activities;
  • Completion of charging plans;
  • QA/QC duties to ensure safety and productivity of drill and blast activities underground;
  • Manage ad hoc projects as directed by the Senior Mining Engineer and Underground Manager;
  • Completion of Primary and Secondary Ventilation Surveys in accordance with WA Mine Regulations;
  • Preparation of short-term weekly schedules;
  • Highlight key activities and critical path processes of budgets, forecasts and weekly plans;
  • Adhere to Project Operation Safety Plan (POSP).
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in UG Mine Engineering and or completion of underground time to satisfy requirements of WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency is desirable.
