Mining Employment Services is seeking an experienced Field Technician for a contract opportunity supporting an active gold exploration program near Norseman in Western Australia.
Previous diamond drill core processing experience is essential. This hands-on role will suit someone who can contribute practical core processing skills from the start.
Key Responsibilities
- Process diamond drill core, including orientation, metre marking and core measurements.
- Assist with core cutting, sampling, photography and sample dispatch.
- Maintain accurate sample records and follow QA/QC procedures.
- Support the geology team and maintain a safe, organised core yard.
About You
- Previous experience as a Field Technician or Exploration Field Assistant.
- Demonstrated hands-on diamond drill core processing experience.
- Strong attention to detail, safe work practices and accurate sample handling.
- A forklift ticket is desirable.
Position Details
- One contract vacancy on an 8/6 roster, Wednesday to Wednesday.
- Point of hire: Perth or Kalgoorlie, with travel via Kalgoorlie and a road transfer to site.
- Short-term assignment, with duration dependent on drilling activity.
- Availability for the next swing sought; commencement timing to be confirmed.
