An established and growing Western Australian gold mining operation is seeking an experienced Ventilation Engineer to join its underground technical services team.
This is a key technical role responsible for the planning, modelling, optimisation and management of underground ventilation systems across the operation.
The Role
You will be responsible for:

Developing and reviewing short- and long-term underground ventilation plans

Designing, modelling and optimising underground ventilation systems

Undertaking VentSim modelling and simulations
-
Monitoring ventilation performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
-
Supporting ventilation audits, inspections and compliance activities
-
Delivering ventilation improvement projects
-
Managing ventilation-related contractors and project activities
-
Preparing ventilation reports and technical documentation
-
Working closely with Mining, Planning, Production and Technical Services teams
-
Ensuring ventilation systems comply with WA mining legislation, regulations and site standards

Identifying opportunities to improve ventilation efficiency, reliability and operating costs

Providing technical advice to underground operations and management
About You
The successful candidate will have:

A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Strong underground hard-rock mining experience
-
Demonstrated experience in underground mine ventilation
-
Strong practical and technical knowledge of primary and secondary ventilation systems
-
Proven experience using VentSim
-
Experience developing and implementing ventilation plans
-
Knowledge of WA underground mining legislation and ventilation requirements

Experience with ventilation projects, optimisation and contractor management
-
Strong reporting and stakeholder communication skills
-
A current C-Class driver's licence
-
The ability to work effectively with operational and technical teams
