We are seeking a motivated and reliable Field Technician to join a busy drilling program in one of Australia's most remote and exciting exploration regions.

Working alongside a team of experienced geologists and drillers, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day exploration activities on a large-scale drilling campaign. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a close-knit team and experiencing genuine outback exploration.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Field Technician, Field Assistant, Coreyard Technician or similar role
  • Experience supporting RC and/or diamond drilling programs highly regarded
  • Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding field environment
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current manual driver's licence
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail

Roster: 15 Days On / 13 Days Off
Start Date: July 2026
Accommodation: Comfortable donga-style camp accommodation
Location: Remote Northern Territory exploration project

Position Duties:

  • Assisting geologists with RC and diamond drilling programs
  • Collection, handling and dispatch of geological samples
  • Chip tray preparation and sample management
  • Core processing and photography
  • Assisting with drill rig moves, field logistics and general field support duties
  • Data entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
Experience
