Mining Employment Services is currently recruiting for a unique opportunity with a growing Australian resources company that is actively advancing a portfolio of exploration and development projects.

This position would suit an experienced geologist who enjoys combining technical geology, project development and tenement management responsibilities within a smaller, collaborative team environment.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management, you will play a key role in supporting the company's exploration strategy and project development activities across a substantial tenement portfolio.

The role offers a diverse mix of responsibilities, including exploration planning, project generation, tenement administration, statutory reporting and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with technical consultants, government departments and management to ensure projects continue to advance efficiently and compliantly.

About You

  • Degree-qualified Geologist
  • Experience within exploration, project geology or tenement management roles
  • Strong understanding of WA mining and exploration regulations
  • Experience managing tenement compliance and statutory reporting requirements
  • Well-organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills
  • Comfortable working within a smaller team environment where responsibilities are varied
  • Experience across copper or base metals projects is highly regarded

Position Duties:

  • Assist with exploration strategy and project development activities
  • Coordinate and manage exploration licence applications, renewals and extensions
  • Prepare and submit annual statutory reporting requirements
  • Maintain tenement records and compliance obligations across multiple project areas
  • Liaise with government departments, consultants and external stakeholders
  • Support drill planning, target generation and exploration programs
  • Contribute to project evaluations and technical reporting
  • Assist with environmental, heritage and permitting requirements where required
