Mining Employment Services is currently seeking a Geology Technician for a 3-month temporary assignment in an underground coreyard role.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on candidate with geology support or coreyard experience who is available for a short-term FIFO role and can work safely and efficiently within a site-based geology team.
- Roster: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Duration: 3 months (temporary role)
About You
- Previous Geology Technician and/or coreyard experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Good communication skills and team attitude
- Strong commitment to safety
- Ability to commit to a 3-month temporary FIFO role
- Current driver’s licence
Position Duties:
- Provide underground coreyard support to the site geology team
- Core handling, tray management and coreyard housekeeping
- Sample preparation, labelling and dispatch coordination
- Accurate data entry and record keeping
- Assist geologists with day-to-day technical tasks
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area
- Work closely with site teams to meet daily priorities
